The Perpetual Papers of the Pack of Pets
This book is by another young author!
I highly recommend reading this book because of the interesting way Katrina and Stanley (a cat and a dog) explain their lives together. Katrina Von Cat the Master of Wisdom and Knowledge and Stanley live in a house together for three years and slowly learn to work with each other. They live through many adventures like knocking over Christmas trees, wiggling their way out of pet shows, and eating pumpkin pie (!). There are also other animal encounters, like Zorg the hamster who thinks he’s an astronaut, and Mandy the bluebird who is a professor of the world of winter in a bird college.
The sequel is out! Buy Observations of Obstreperous Animals on Amazon.

The Adventures of Tomato and Pea
Read this book by my friend Erik Weibel! His book review blog is This Kid Reviews Books.
It is full of adventure and different planets that the characters explore. And it all starts with a bad idea from Wintergreen…
"For years the evil villain Wintergreen had tried to destroy super crime-stopper, Tomato and his sidekick, Pea, and take over planet Oarg. In a plan gone wrong, Wintergreen traps himself along with his arch-nemesis in a runaway rocket ship that crashes on a strange planet called “EAR-TH”. Now these perennial enemies must learn to work together to survive the dangers on this strange world. Hungry birds, enormous snakes and the giant inhabitants of EAR-TH stand between this brawling bunch of aliens and finding a way home."

Andy Smithson Series by L.R.W. Lee
Andy Smithson is a boy who has a hobby of playing video games, and his parents do not appreciate it. In book one of the series, Blast of the Dragon's Fury, one day, he goes to the attic and finds a chest that he hadn't seen before. When he opens it, he is transported to another world in medieval times where he meets a wizard named Mermin and a King. There he has many adventures with his friend, Aldin.
This book is an amazing adventure novel. When you read it, you will immediately want to read the second one, Venom of the Serpent's Cunning. The first book in the series is free on Amazon.com, and the third book is coming soon!

Hello, My Name Is Octicorn
In this book, written by Kevin Diller and illustrated by Justin Lowe, a unicorn marries an octopus, and their baby is an octicorn. This Octicorn doesn’t really fit in anywhere, even though he’s a fun guy and tries hard.
This is a book about not leaving others out who could be fun friends, even if they are kind of strange. It’s is a hardcover book and so is good for a gift. Somebody young might color it in, because the black and white illustrations are just asking for some crayons.
